Pilates

Chloe is a fully qualified Pilates teacher, and practices in group sessions and also 1-1 basis.

Progressing into Pilates felt natural to Chloe due to her love for wanting to know more about rehabilitation of injury, learning about movement patterns and improving her clients abilities with all aspects of sport and daily life. Recognising that a lot of her clients alignments needed extra support to provide a full body strengthening program.  

Chloe has practised yoga and Pilates for over 10 years and truly believes in mind and body connection to improving our movement patterns and how this can help with injury.  Whilst training in Pilates Chloe quickly recognised how imperative Pilates was for weak pelvic floor and qualified to train with pre and postnatal, c- section and hysterectomy clients.   

Pilates was designed in the 20th century by Joseph Pilates, and was originally known as contrology.  Pilates dedicated his life to improving the human body and its mechanics, decrease pain, improve posture and correct breathing, designing a workout that will strengthen the body.  Pilates came to believe that the modern life-style, bad posture, and inefficient breathing lay at the roots of poor health and body alignment.  Designed to help improve rugby players practice and also ballet dancers stay strong. 

Pilates main focus helps to improve posture, strengthen the core, stabilises joints such as knees, hips, and shoulders, without stressing or overloading the body.  Improving spine flexibility, mobility and relieving tension. Pilates is suitable for any level and can be adapted to pre and post natal, beginners or intermediate levels.

A pre exercises consultation form is to be completed before class with Chloe to discuss any current or previous injuries.

Is Pilates Right for Me?

Can I do Pilates whilst pregnant?

Yes it is perfectly safe to do Pilates whilst pregnant.  Each exercise is adapted and modified to suit each individual especially pre and postnatal exercise, Chloe is fully trained with pregnancy safe exercises to ensure that you and baby are in safe hands.  A full pre and postnatal physical activity questionaire will be completed before any exercises also this is a chance to discuss with Chloe any concerns or questions about the class.  If there is anything you would like to discuss before attending class please feel free to call or email Chloe.

Are there circumstances when Pilates isn’t advisable?

If any concerns about doing Pilates or any form of exercise please discuss this with your Dr.  Pilates is generally a low to moderate form of activity and brilliant for all levels such as recovery from injury or rehabilitation from operation, pre or postnatal, strengthening the body to increase ability levels at any sport, helping

It is always advisable to check with your doctor or midwife before attending any fitness class.

Chloe never dissapoints , I have always suffered with my back especially since having a second baby ! Amazing therapist!

I am a professional mixed martial arts fighter, and I have been for a number of years with much experience in pushing my body to the limits physically. I have been to different osteopaths, physiotherapists and masseurs over the years but Chloe is by far the best in order to help my body recover. Not only is she very knowledgable about her trade, she is also super friendly and helpful whenever I want to ask any questions relating to any injuries I may have. Thoroughly recommended, and I could not even think about doing an 8 week training fight camp without Chloes help.

A very relaxing experience

Chloe is very professional and I felt very comfortable during the treatments I have had with her. I have a back condition and have found Chloe’s massages to help with this, Chloe has also helped me with shin splints as well.
